Established in 1986 A.D Fateh-Bal Eye Hospital (FBEH) is an eye care institution managed and run by Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS). Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh Banke (NNJS, B) is one of the branches of Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (National society for comprehensive eye care), which has its head office in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh (NNJS) was established in 1978 A.D. (2035 B.S.) and is registered under the Society Registration Act, 1977 (2034 B.S.). This is a non-government, non-profit, beneficent genuine social organization affiliated with Social Welfare Council (SWC).
Fateh Bal’s Eye Hospital demonstrates remarkable capacity by performing 10,000 cataract surgeries on average annually. Recognized by the Government of Nepal and the Ministry of Health, it is a highly qualified institution for all types of ophthalmic activities. In addition to cataract surgeries, the hospital also provides a variety of other ophthalmological services, including Cornea and Oculoplasty sub-specialties. Each year, it performs approximately 500 additional surgeries, including OPK (Optical Penetrating Keratoplasty), TPK (Therapeutic Penetrating Keratoplasty), DSAEK (Descemet’s Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty), DCR (Dacryocystorhinostomy), and DCT (Dacryocystectomy).

The Ruit Foundation in collaboration with Fateh Bal Eye Hospital, has been operating in different parts of Far Western Region of Nepal through outreach programs to cure needless blindness from marginalized groups. Also extending the service to the people who can’t afford the surgery at their base hospital and its secondary institutions since the year 2021
